People who buy those are mainly 3D enthusiasts who like to pay a little to get a little more comfort regarding workflows, pipelines, industry standards, etc. I once bought the Newtek Lightwave (think it was version 7 back then), and I really enjoyed it - It was fast, cool and very intuitive (by the standards of that time). - The only reason I went on using Blender instead was the fact that it was written in a Python controlled environment, oh and, perhaps the price had a thing to say too. Anyway, It's like asking who buys Macs and Windows, when you have Linux? |
