Eehm, no discussion? As far as I know Lance and me are administrators too.
And if you would have just asked us or any other users, we could get some great solutions.
I won't let NiftyHost die like this, I might not be able to pay a server for all these users, but *if* niftyhost quits, I think I will be able to pay hosting for the people that helped us the most. I wouldn't mind that at all.

you are a grinch, you cant just close the community cuz u paid for it, this is run by a community, so it should be decided by the community, and talking about the money, i think zack has done more than you on nifty. and if you have better things to invest on, why did u do it on nifty at first

I honestly don't think it's fair to say that. I fully understand MQHQ' decision. Besides, you can't force a person to pay out for community expenses if he doesn't want to, or are unable to. Besides, as Zack stated, the forums will continue, just not the Post2Hosting service.

As for the shutdown of this fantastic service, it is indeed sad, but it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, that free and/or post2host services won't last forever. But nonetheless, it has been the best host I've tried yet.

Thanks vanilla. Thing is everfyone does what they do to try to make money. I had no say in closing nifty. I just told zack he would have to find another server cause I can't pay for something with no profit.

Honestly if you want to point fingers point them at the hostees. They wanted everything for free with no forced ads. Forced ads might have kept the hosting alive but no. So if you want to. Hate me then go ahead but I did follow what the community wanted and it grew to the point of breaking me

There is no need to point fingers, what happened happened and now we got to a point where we need to try to fix it or at-least discuss what needs to be done now.

Anything with free services without some kind of loss is going to end sooner or later like niftyhost. we could not force ads to keep us afloat. Depending on the situation in a month or two will depend on when start hosting again... but this time it will be run by needs over wants. Meaning if it is going to kill me to offer something free i will force a small ad
