Id like to share you all a free version of photoshop. Of course, its not as good as photoshop, but to all of you, who dont have the $$ and will not get a pirated photoshop, try this out =)

My tryst with GIMP is far from being impressive. The downside of GIMP is that it kills your computer and makes it unresponsive for no reason and it does not have that many number of options that are quite common with general version of Photoshop.

I don't seem to have the same problem, perhaps it's just your computer? - Besides, a lot of the stuff you can do in Photoshop is also available in GIMP, you just make use of other procedures. Not to forget that it's free.

Actually I use GIMP because it *doesn't* lock my pc up as much as Photoshop does..

Yeah, Photoshop is a lot more CPU-killing then GIMP. I love GIMP, I use it for... well, everything.
