RE: Firefox VS. Google Chrome
Personally, I use Mozilla Firefox. I like how you can create or download existing Add-Ons to supplement the browser. Among many other of these Add-Ons, I have a Youtube Video Downloader and a Savings Finder plugin. Unfortunately, these plug-ins do come at the price of memory usage. That's where Google Chrome has the edge. It's definitely faster and more memory conservative than Firefox, but doesn't have the variety of plug-ins as Firefox does.

Mozilla Firefox for the win. A wider variety of add-ons can be downloaded for Firefox for the price of memory usage. I don't use the add-ons really that much. Chrome is definitely faster, but I'm just way too used to Firefox.

RE: Firefox VS. Google Chrome
I used to use Firefox very heavily. However it was extremely slow for me. The addons were not worth the massive waste of memory usage. So, I tried Safari but I dislike the feel. Then I switched to Chrome and love it because of it's speed and customizability.

RE: Firefox VS. Google Chrome
Firefox has superior addons which is important for me. I have tweaked my FF5 to be just as fast as IE or Chrome. It works just fine for me and I have no reason to switch.

RE: Firefox VS. Google Chrome
Firefox is the best browser atm. It has many useful add-ons that you won't find elsewhere. Maybe Chrome is faster, maybe it uses less memory, but it's Google. And Google doens't know what privacy is. I read a post which said that Google Chrome is a spyware, because it tracks which websites you visit and sends this information to Google. I don't know whether that's true or not. I just know that Firefox does what I need. Maybe with this software (http://abelssoft.net/gc.php) I may give Chrome a chance. Maybe...

It's true, I was using Google Chrome for faster surfing but I began to realize about weird things happening, like not respecting my own settings having Google modifying my options over and over. Later I found the article about the privacy and an alternative to Google Chrome, which is what I'm currently using, SRware Iron, in which website you can also read how Chrome is actively reporting your surfing habits to Google, http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware...s_iron.php

RE: Firefox VS. Google Chrome
I think Firefox is better. It has a nicer layout, and has better modifications and addons. I also like the themes you can get for Firefox. I don't like Google Chrome because it is a single-user program, and that's pathetic.

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were; any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee. -- Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions (1624), John Donn |
