ACTA: Goodbye Privacy – Hello Spys from the Government
ACTA – Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement is one more offensive against the sharing of culture on the Internet.

ACTA is an agreement that was secretly negotiated by a small amount of countries (39 countries, including the 27 of the European Union, the United States, Japan, etc). Negotiated instead of being democratically debated, ACTA bypasses parliaments and international organizations to dictate a repressive logic dictated by the entertainment industries.

ACTA would impose new criminal sanctions forcing Internet actors to monitor and censor online communications. It is thus a major threat to freedom of expression online and creates legal uncertainty for Internet companies. In the name of trademarks and patents, it would also hamper access to generic medicines in poor countries.

The European Parliament now has an ultimate opportunity to reject ACTA.

What does ACTA mean for me?
It is very easy, ACTA will monitor everything you do on the Internet and block everything that looks suspicious. Your ISP has to monitor all your connections, downloads, uploads and if they find out that you download a song, video, document or even a picture that is copyrighted you will get into a lot of trouble.

Do you really want this? No, we don’t need this because it is our privacy to do whatever we want without having people on the other side who watch what you do everytime you do something. We already lost our privacy in the real world. Everywhere we are, are cameras and a lot of other trash that is spying on us. Origin, Steam, Microsoft and other companies spy you when you use your computer.

Say NO to ACTA! Say NO to Government Spys! Say “I’M FREE!!!”

I agree with you, I hate these new laws that they are secretly trying to pass.
This so-called democracy is starting to feel like a global dictatorship.

Agreed but we are like 0.0000003% of the worlds population saying no to this...we couldn't make a difference. We need to raise more awareness... and maybe even look at anonymous for help [Dramatic music]

I think it's more like the other way around, 3% of the people (company's) want this, and the rest doesn't have a true voice in it.

Our Privacy isn't their concern anymore, they get paid Big bucks to make off spying on Us, and intruding our privacy, Unlike most bills this is a sneaky One, and we well the States Can't do anything, The censorship will more then likely Grow over the internet because that's what the government want, it's like Facebook when they sell our personal details to other companies. So yes, we can kiss goodbye to our long time friend privacy because you are going to be monitored why you Browse or surf over the internet, it's a sad day for Humanity Indeed... But you could go to another country that sin't fake And get away with it, There are ways to bypass this all and probably hide from the Government, i know i would your government is tight unlike ours, our government is not as strict as yours.
