ACTA would impose new criminal sanctions forcing Internet actors to monitor and censor online communications. It is thus a major threat to freedom of expression online and creates legal uncertainty for Internet companies. In the name of trademarks and patents, it would also hamper access to generic medicines in poor countries.

The European Parliament now has an ultimate opportunity to reject ACTA.

It is very easy, ACTA will monitor everything you do on the Internet and block everything that looks suspicious. Your ISP has to monitor all your connections, downloads, uploads and if they find out that you download a song, video, document or even a picture that is copyrighted you will get into a lot of trouble.

Do you really want this? No, we don’t need this because it is our privacy to do whatever we want without having people on the other side who watch what you do everytime you do something. We already lost our privacy in the real world. Everywhere we are, are cameras and a lot of other trash that is spying on us. This happened in some city in China, after I saw this video I just started Googling China and found out some interesting stuff. Like many people say China hates women and prefers men, there are traditions they have like aborting baby girls is normal. Well I don't know if any of that is true and I hope not but just want to know your opinions. I thought China was known for strong women because they prefer to continue their education rather than marry off fast and have kids.

Sanford Wallace, who is known as the "Spam King", surrendered to FBI agents in California.

Prosecutors allege he developed a program that breached Facebook spam filters and lured users to submit their account details.

Mr Wallace denies the charges, which carry prison sentences of up to 10 years.

He has been released on $100,000 (£61,000) bail.

Prosecutors say Mr Wallace's program posted messages on Facebook users walls - purportedly from friends - urging users to visit a website where their account details were then harvested.

They were then redirected to an affiliate website that earned Wallace "substantial revenue", the charges say.

The program also retrieved lists of Facebook users' friends and posted spam messages on their walls, the indictment adds.

About 500,000 Facebook accounts were compromised between November 2008 and March 2009, leading to more than 27 million spam messages being sent, prosecutors said.

Mr Wallace, who is from Las Vegas, is charged with six counts of electronic mail fraud, three counts of intentional damage to a protected computer and two counts of criminal contempt.

Facebook sued Mr Wallace in 2009 and a federal judge ordered him not to access Facebook's computer network. However, prosecutors say he repeatedly violated that order earlier this year.

Mr Wallace also lost a civil case brought against him by MySpace in 2008 over junk messages sent to members of the social networking site.

The Taliban claimed they downed the helicopter with rocket fire while it was taking part in a raid on a house where insurgents were gathered in the province of Wardak late Friday. It said wreckage of the craft was strewn at the scene. A senior U.S. administration official in Washington said the craft was apparently shot down by insurgents. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the crash is still being investigated.

NATO confirmed the overnight crash took place and that there "was enemy activity in the area." But it said it was still investigating the cause and conducting a recovery operation at the site. It did not release details or casualty figures.

"We are in the process of accessing the facts," said U.S. Air Force Capt. Justin Brockhoff, a NATO spokesman.

One current and one former U.S. official said that the dead included more than 20 Navy SEALs from SEAL Team Six, the unit that carried out the raid in Pakistan in May that killed bin Laden. They were being flown by acrew of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because families are still being notified.

President Barack Obama mourned the deaths of the American troops, saying in a statement that the crash serves as a reminder of the "extraordinary sacrifices" being made by the U.S. military and its families. He said he also mourned "the Afghans who died alongside our troops."

The death toll would surpass the worst single day loss of life for the U.S.-led coalition in Afghanistan since the war began in 2001 — the June 28, 2005 downing of a military helicopter in eastern Kunar province. In that incident, 16 Navy SEALs and Army special operations troops were killed when their craft was shot down while on a mission to rescue four SEALs under attack by the Taliban. Three of the SEALs being rescued were also killed and the fourth wounded. It was the highest one-day death toll for the Navy Special Warfare personnel since World War II.

While summer highs can reach 70 degrees Fahrenheit at the equator, average temperatures are significantly lower, but still in a range that could allow for flowing water, about 32 degrees Fahrenheit for noon highs to -75 degrees Fahrenheit for overnight lows.

"We know Mars has a lot of ice, but this is the first time we've seen the potential for liquid water," said Arizona State University geophysicist Phil Christensen.

"What makes these new observations so interesting is they occur at much lower latitudes [closer to the equator], where temperatures are much warmer and where it’s actually possible for liquid water to exist."

According to the research team, seven possible water flow locations have been confirmed, with the possibility of up to 30 more. Some locations may have up to 1,000 separate waterways.

McEwen reminds that the discovery is not definitive proof that there is flowing water on Mars, but it is the best explanation.

"We haven't found any good way to explain what we're seeing without water," he said.

"I think it’s going to be laboratory experiments on Earth that give us the best confirmation or refutation."

The discovery has renewed NASA's interest in Mars in the wake of the recent conclusion of its 30-year space shuttle program. Numerous participants in the network sexually abused children ages 12 and under, produced images and video of the abuse and then shared it with other club members, according to court papers released in the case.

Of the 72 charged in the United States, 43 have been arrested there, and nine in other countries. Another 20 are known to authorities only by their internet names and remain at large.

Authorities have arrested people in 13 other countries Canada, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Hungary, Kenya, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Qatar, Serbia, Sweden and Switzerland, but some of those were arrested on local rather than the US charges.

At a news conference at the Justice Department, the attorney general called the criminal activity a "nightmare for the children" and said that some of the children featured in the images and videos were just infants.

In many cases, the children being victimised were in obvious, and intentional, pain – just as the rules for one area of the bulletin board mandated, the attorney general said.

Napolitano said the amount of child abuse material swapped by participants in the network was massive, the equivalent to 16,000 DVDs.

To conceal their conduct, members used screen names rather than actual names and accessed the bulletin board via proxy servers, with internet traffic routed through other computers to disguise a user's location, according to the court papers.

Participants were required to continually upload images of child sexual abuse to maintain their membership.

Participants who molested children and created new images of child abuse were placed in a "Super VIP" category that gave them access to the entire quantity of child abuse on the bulletin board, the court papers stated.

A "super hardcore" section of the bulletin board was limited to posts showing adults having violent sexual intercourse with "very young kids" subjected to physical and sexual abuse.
