Instead of producing new movies they take films that were already made one, two or even three times before, or have silver-screen and TV-screen versions working on a remake that has nothing to do with any of them nor the original stories taken from comics.

And it's not only about super heroes, all the film industry is stuck in that remaking activity for years now, or extending stories that being original proven to be successful, like Harry Potter.

Essentially yes, but there are still decent directors and screenwriters out there. When all the indie film makers of today make their way into filling the seats of the big time directors we will start seeing more original content.
