Should governments be able to block websites?

While I do think that the people should be able to do and publish whatever they want, the Government should also reverse itself the right to shut down or erase any unwanted material. The internet is a very powerful tool where information just gets passed around pretty much without any sort of regulation. There is certain information that should be handled with discretion and is not for everyone to know.
