If the government found intelligent alien life should it keep it a secret?

Why do you think the moon landing was a fake? Like you said, there was a lot of pressure to get the first man on the moon. NASA probably had hundreds of scientists working around the clock. The only reason you think it was a "sudden ability to build rockets" is because it was all kept very secret until the initial launch because they didn't want the Russians to steal their technology.

Yeah. There's no evidence to build a conclusive argument on either side. Coming from a country that most often uses technology to keep people pacified with iPods and TV than exploring space, I can't help but think we had some third party assistance in the matter.

And the moon landing was fake for a number of obvious reasons. People just never questioned it at the time because they didn't know any better.
