Should Weed Be Legal?

I personally don't think that marijuana should be legal. I can see through the people around here who uses it how it affects someone's behavior. They just tend to become crazy and laughing all the time with no clear reason at all. Just like alcohol, this might be the cause for some huge fights and trouble due to the uncontrollable attitude that the user would show. It is addictive and even if it has good benefits, I would never try to use it.

Same goes to smoking. There were lots of proven diseases that you could get from doing it. One is actually destroying his body little by little by just depositing nicotine inside. If anybody would just be more health-conscious and stop smoking, then everybody else around would benefit as well for not having to consume the second hand smoke.

I don't think that marijuana contains nicotine, and it isn't physically addictive. The only "addiction" that one would have to the drug would be a psychological one.

It's a fair question: Is marijuana addictive? The answer is complicated, unfortunately. Yes and no. From a strictly physical standpoint, marijuana is really only addictive in extreme cases of heavy, prolonged use. Even then, the physical withdrawal symptoms are likely caused more due to psychological factors than by a real, physical withdrawal.

And as for it affecting peoples behavior, sure it affects people. Nobody here is debating that. However, marijuana is a depressant. It doesn't cause people to become aggressive. They might become temporarily disorientated, more prone to laughter, and maybe a little slower in the head. But all that stuff is temporary, and none of it is dangerous.
