Okay suppose my friend made a hosting service, and i signed up on it.. could he see my cpanels password?

because on one of the hosting services i stayed at, my cpanel pass was the same as my email.. and then suddenly i couldnt access me email any more :\

is there any way that he could have seen the password on my cpanel??

cPanel has some login hooks that could theoretically steal your password, and s/he may have saved it when you signed up. However, it doesnt seem like something a reasonable person would do to a customer.

It is only possible if the user change the sourcecode to steal it when logging in or signing up.

I often use different passwords on my email and other web site user.
Email's is very complicated，and otherwebsite is very simple,just like "abcdefg" and so so.
So if someone want to use the password to login my email,he can't login.
I think you should get into the habit of this to improve your accounts more safe.

Well if there is a keylogger, it would send the information (usernames and passwords) from his computer to the friend of his, getting the information and then be able to change the information on the website, is it not?
