[SOLVED] [SOLVED] Is there a way to change my main domain? - yayit - 01-17-2011 The title says it. I'm asking this beacause i'm using .tk domain what if i eventually didn't get the minimum trafic for 90 days. And also can we make a thread here in the forum where users can post their .tk domains so other users can visit it for additional trafic (does it violate any TOS or not). RE: Is there a way to change my main domain? - Vanilla - 01-17-2011 I've been wondering whether that was possible too. I doubt you can do manually as a user. I think it's something the admins have to do within WHM, not sure tho'. RE: Is there a way to change my main domain? - yayit - 01-17-2011 thanks for the reply. Oh in case it's imposible what are the other things I can do if incase it happens? RE: Is there a way to change my main domain? - Vanilla - 01-17-2011 Ask an administrator to change it. I believe you can post a thread regarding it, here in the Customer Support forum. RE: Is there a way to change my main domain? - Zach - 01-18-2011 Or you can add a parked domain to your account, it will point to the same content that your old domain pointed to. RE: Is there a way to change my main domain? - yayit - 01-18-2011 thanks. i forgot that i can access cpanel using http://www.niftyhost.us:2082/ , RE: Is there a way to change my main domain? - HiddenKnowledge - 01-18-2011 (01-17-2011, 04:32 PM)Vanilla Wrote: I've been wondering whether that was possible too. There's not really a reason to do it, anyway. RE: Is there a way to change my main domain? - yayit - 01-18-2011 so i conclude that if incase we lose our rights to the main domain we had used. the only fixed we can do is to parked another domain. RE: Is there a way to change my main domain? - HiddenKnowledge - 01-19-2011 Yes, and we have free subdomains (nifty.com for example) you can use and there are lots of free domains on the internet, so that shouldn't be a problem, right? :) If you think it's a problem it's saying your main domain is a domain you don't own I can write a firefox extension that shows you a different domain :P RE: Is there a way to change my main domain? - Vanilla - 01-19-2011 (01-18-2011, 11:35 PM)Yoruichi Shihouin Wrote:(01-17-2011, 04:32 PM)Vanilla Wrote: I've been wondering whether that was possible too. Well, I was just thinking that considering that it's displayed on-top of the statistics bar, it might feature some exclusive features only available to it. Which would then be lost, if a domain happened to expire or was bought by another company or whatever. - But then again, I donno' DNS stuff anyway :P domain.jpg (Size: 13.31 KB / Downloads: 5) |
