Please always make backups of the files you edit!

You can also create a image called OEMLOGO.bmp

NOTE: Your OEMLOGO.bmp logo must be square and must measure 172 by 172 pixels. If your bitmap image is smaller than this specification, it appears centered in the rectangle. If it is larger than this specification, part of it might appear to be cropped under certain font and screen resolutions, or it might not appear at all.

Another example for OEMINFO.ini.
Code:
[General]
Manufacturer = MyCompany, Inc.
Model = Brand X Processor
SupportURL = http://www.mycompany.com
LocalFile = C:\Winnt\Web\LocalFilename.htm

[Support Information]
Line1= For Technical Support:
Line2= to obtain updated drivers or for information on frequently
Line3= asked questions, visit the MyCompany technical
Line4= support web site at:
Line5=
Line6= http://www.mycompany.com/techsupport.

Note: You always need to have atleast the [General] and [Support Information].

RE: Branding Windows with your Name !! - Vanilla - 10-27-2010

I tried it with Windows 7, but either i did something wrong, or Dell managed to block it somehow.
Anyway, I tried this app, and it works: http://freewareforus.com/2009/05/winbubble-lite-2009-access-windows-7.html ;)

RE: Branding Windows with your Name !! - karthikcric - 10-27-2010

well you know some windows trick
u cant create a folder name "con"

RE: Branding Windows with your Name !! - HiddenKnowledge - 10-27-2010

I created an article about this on my wiki:
http://hiddenknowledge.users.sourceforge.net/wiki/Modifying_OEM_info
And it is possible to create a directory with the name "con", "lpt1", etc. It will just be useless since you can't actually use it.

Nice tutorial, but when you "brand" it, where will it exactly say the name?

RE: Branding Windows with your Name !! - SirHelp - 11-20-2010

What does this actually do?
Does it put the name somewhere where it used to saw Windows or something?
Please explain.

RE: Branding Windows with your Name !! - HiddenKnowledge - 11-20-2010

It just changes the OEM info, the thing where it sometimes says IBM or your works name or something.
