True, but it's free!
Besides, Western Samoa's are paid, and they look crappy too. .ws

Yeah. I meant things like .com and .net, which are some of the domains being offered.

RE: Free .com? Oh my! - Arthur - 05-02-2011

I know. I was just pointing it out. :) And yet, any ccTLD that is associated with any English word is fine. How odd.

RE: Free .com? Oh my! - Zach - 05-02-2011

Hmm? I dont really like the ccTLDs that somehow represent English words and that are marketed as such, it is a tacky abuse of the system.

fabulo.us
delicio.us
...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was referring to how .ws markets itself as the Web Site domain, and .co markets itself as the domain for COmpanies.

And cc as Creative Commons, and me as me, and so on.

*notes the missing line from his previous post*

Yeah. And although your second example was valid, I dont want a casual visitor to these forums to get curious and visit a site like that.

RE: Free .com? Oh my! - Arthur - 05-04-2011

Figured it was something like that. I don't think it's up anymore, but it was a pretty nasty site.
