We're bringing hosting back! - Zach - 07-21-2012 Hey everybody! As you've no doubt noticed, NiftyHost.us hasn't provided our fantastic free hosting in a while. Well, I tell you, that's about to change. We've negotiated a deal with EaseVPS to provide you guys with some excellent, established DirectAdmin website hosting on a dedicated VPS. The new post-to-host plan will start out with 550MB storage and 10GB of monthly bandwidth, along with a number of great features enumerated on the features page. Watch this space in the coming days for news as we get everything set up. We will be offering free hosting again by August! EDIT: Beta registrations are now being accepted! RE: We're bringing hosting back! - RichardGv - 07-21-2012 Don't quite have anything to say but Awesome! So finally we have some chances to get back on track. :) A Linux system uses only 24MB memory with Apache running? Yuk, why does my system use so much even without X... And, your Apache uses so little memory... And very high PIDs. By the way, what is the relationship between Zack and Zach? :) RE: We're bringing hosting back! - Zach - 07-21-2012 (07-21-2012, 03:09 PM)RichardGv Wrote: Don't quite have anything to say but Awesome! I'm Zack, but I changed my name to Zach for aesthetic purposes. :) It's actually using about 500MB of RAM now that DirectAdmin is installed and services are running at full blast. I wish it could get 24MB with an Apache install. :P You should idle in the IRC again, I haven't seen you there in a while. nhcp.PNG (Size: 25.25 KB / Downloads: 10) RE: We're bringing hosting back! - Vanilla - 07-22-2012 Fantastic to hear that NH is back again . I just hope the revival of the service also somehow leads to a re-ignition of the forum along with it. :) RE: We're bringing hosting back! - Zach - 07-22-2012 (07-22-2012, 06:09 AM)Vanilla Wrote: Fantastic to hear that NH is back again . Hi, everyone, by the way :) Glad to be back :D RE: We're bringing hosting back! - MyDigitalpoint - 07-22-2012 Wishing you best of luck with this new chapter that NiftyHost is just starting. Sounds like a great deal and, opposite to what many people think, DirectAdmin is a great control panel that offers some features not available in Cpanel, a good choice to try out for members who are not familiar with it. I'm usually on IRC in some time everyday (usually 12:00PM - 2:00 PM GMT, sometimes 4:00AM - 6:00 AM GMT). But I have less time to spend on IRC in recent days, and the timezone... My grandpa is sick, pretty bad lung infection, as terrible as what it usually is for an 80-year-old, and I have to take care of him... If you have any problems, you could choose to send me a PM or email instead. You may as well find me on Google Talk, sometimes. |
