What Wordpress plugins do you use? - Serial Thrilla - 02-18-2012 Hello NiftyHost Community, as some of you may know I introduced a blog that I run for my friend from Munich. It is based on Wordpress with a few plugins, so I came to this question. I have several plugins installed within the blog: 1. WPTouch (Mobile Theme) 2. Akisment (Well known anti spam software) 3. WPTables Reloaded (Pretty cool table plugin) 4. Download Counter (Well, it is deactived, waiting for update) How about you? Do you run a WP blog with plugins? RE: What Wordpress plugins do you use? - MyDigitalpoint - 03-16-2012 I'm not running any Wordpress site at this moment because the recent software updates makes me feel like this software is getting complex to use, losing the former ground it was developed from. However I used to remove Akismet first since it never was as useful to me, substituting it for a captcha plugin that I don't remember the name but adds a match challenge for either posting a comment, login, or register on site. RE: What Wordpress plugins do you use? - Serial Thrilla - 03-17-2012 Akismet does a good job so far for me. Blocked all spam comments. Well, there was one small incident were it treated a normal comment as spam, but only once in 2 years so far. RE: What Wordpress plugins do you use? - OhioTom76 - 07-26-2012 There's a Lorem Ipsum plugin I use to create a bunch of fake posts to fill out a site when I'm testing out a new layout, and conversely there's a plugin to mass delete posts and move them directly to the trash as well. |
