Softacolous Install Error - br0wnie - 01-28-2012

I'm getting this error when trying to install softacolous:

Site error: the file /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/enduser/inc.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

RE: Softacolous Install Error - rowebil - 01-30-2012

He needs to enable the ionCube module. Or install it. I just thought it came with webserver packages.

ionCube is so that softaculous doesn't get pirated.

Who does..? The owner of nifty..?

RE: Softacolous Install Error - rowebil - 01-30-2012

The server administrator. I'd suppose the owner, if he has access to the server.

All they have to do is uncomment one of the lines in the config file. PM him and let him know.

I thought you could do it as well on cPanel but maybe not.

In the file it has
#blah.so
#blah.so
#blah.so
#ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so
#blah.so

He needs to remove the # and restart the HTTP service daemon.

Pretty easy.

OH yeah, if the owner is only reselling from somewhere - then he must contact the company he's buying the reseller package from.

If he has a VPS or dedicated server, then he can do the task that I posted above.

Odd... I edited my last post and it made a new post. Strange things happening from this site.

I have no idea what any of that means, BUT it sounds like you know what you're talking about :D haha. I just want to be able to make my website using wordpress :/

RE: Softacolous Install Error - rowebil - 01-30-2012

I never use installers for wordpress blogs. I do a lot of Internet Marketing with wordpress blogs. Everytime I install them, I just download it - then uploading it using FTP and visit your site to install it.

Just make sure you download it from Wordpress official site. I got mine with themes already built in, and SEO plugins already installed and I ran into an undesirable issue just an hour ago. Ha!

I guess it's safe to say to always download it from the original source and ignore those who provide scripts built-in. Full of PHP backdoors. Sucks because I actually trusted people on WarriorForum until now. Oh well. I scanned everything and removed the backdoor shells. All good now!

Best of luck to you!

Oh well I'm not very technically savvy so I need the easy stuff, which would be the wordpress script that is supposed to be working but isn't.. not only that, I can't login to my control panel at all it just 404's

RE: Softacolous Install Error - rowebil - 01-31-2012

Oh wow, I thought he went on cPanel and clicked the Softacolous button to install it.

RE: Softacolous Install Error - br0wnie - 01-31-2012

Well I got a PM from the head admin here, he said that he's rebuilding some PHP stuff or something that's going to allow us to use the softalecious installer... so until then I guess we have to wait to use it
