From what I have heard, GoDaddy is "really bad" in terms of client support and hosting. However most people just use them for domains so it's not a problem. Anyways, it's recommended that you don't have hosting in the same place as your domain name because it's a double curse if you break terms.
Me personally, I have Namecheap as my primary domain registrar with no issues at all.

I would say GoDaddy and Namecheap are the best domain registars. I use both and I don't have any issues with them whatsoever. Even GoDaddy. I've heard stories about them, but they don't seem to be true IMO. So I would go with Namecheap or Godaddy.

Only once I have hundreds of domains in a single registrar service, which happened to be RegisterFly, but after its debacle all my domains went to different registrars so I have tried a lot of registrars.

Actually I have very little domains, but in 3 different registrars; GoDaddy, NameCheap and Dynadot, mostly chosen by low pricing, discount codes or special offers.

i use http://www.zippozap.com/ to register domains. i feel this as good and safe.

I prefer using GoDaddy because it is a great domain provider. They provide great and excellent hosting services. They have wonderful coupons and offers to give you. I love their discounts. For a second choice, I would use NameCheap, because they have a free WhoIs guard. Overall, those are the only two providers I would use.

I have a .com domain with godaddy and a .net domain with maddog. I like maddog a lot more than godaddy; with maddog is very easy for me to add new domains and all that.

RE: Your domain registar ? - MyDigitalpoint - 08-22-2011

I'm always opened to take any domain registrar offering good prices and looking reliable to trust in so I paid a visit to Maddog to see because I'm always lost with GoDaddy's control panel, and every interface change I have seen since I joined many years back, have not contributed to make it more user-friendly.

However Maddog seems to be a GoDaddy's reseller registrar so while the prices look appealing (I know its resellers can sell for lower prices) I'm unsure about the control panel.

I think my problem is having started my domain registration experience with RegisterFly, which control panel was the best I have ever tried since.

I use Godaddy and Namecheap. I prefer Namecheap for how easy it is and how it looks, but I like Godaddy for cheap domains, like $1 .com domains promotion that comes out sometimes. Most of my domains are on Namecheap, but I've still got the odd few on Godaddy.

RE: Your domain registar ? - MyDigitalpoint - 08-23-2011

I used to love that one-dollar promotion but since a while back that promo is only available for credit card holders so people like me, who mostly use Paypal, cannot longer take advantage of those offers, and that's truly sad :(
