Pixlr is certainly one of the effective alternative of Photoshop and the good thing about Pixlr is that it is free and it does not eat too much into your memory.

I don't really like Pixlr, because you can't really add stuff like plugins or anything as far as I know.

Despite I read this thread several weeks back, I had not the chance to try this editor until past weekend and let me tell you it's pretty fast compared with others of the same kind.
Besides it has all the tools that you expect to find in the software installed on your PC so a a really life-saver when it comes to work with graphics being online but away from your own computer.
