Hi, sorry if i'm wrong to post here.

I have a suggest, why if niftyhost open a forum category by Country region.

For example:

  1. Asia
    Indonesia, China, Arabic, Etc...
  2. Europe
    Poland, ..., ...
  3. America
    Brazil, Argerntina, etc...
  4. Australy
I doubt that we'll have enough members from each region to actively contribute to each category/forum. Besides, a lot of people comes from smaller countries, and if you had to have all countries, that would be around 195 individual sections.

Besides, it would mess up the looks by having a huge amount of categories and forums, as this community is mainly for support, and I doubt we can provide localized-languaged support anyway.
Well we could do it by language specific and have the major languafes

That's going to increase the difficulties of moderations, and lower the activities in the main English forums. If we have more than 1,000 active members and lots of moderators from different countries, this wouldn't be a big problem. But for NiftyHost it does not look like a good idea right now.
I was actually thinking about branching the Customer Support (and Customer Support only) forum into languages, starting with Chinese, since we seem to have a lot of Chinese-speaking users who are probably migrating elsewhere for support. Maybe RichardGv and, I dont know, khy maybe could moderate it and answer questions.
What do you guys think?

If a Chinese user can contribute to the community by posting English posts, he should be able to post support requests in English, and comprehend our English replies. If a Chinese user decides to leave NiftyHost due to a language problem, he usually won't contribute much to NiftyHost when posting (in English) even if he stays at the forum.

Chinese support is quite an important factor for a Chinese person to choose his hosting service provider, so surely introducing Chinese support will attract far more Chinese users. But honestly, I doubt whether it's a good idea to attract Chinese users. To state the fact in a rather mild way, not many Chinese users have the habit of posting high-quality/constructive posts. (The reason behind this is in Chinese forums, most users just spam the forum with insanely short replies and threads that almost never makes sense. It's already some sort of "tradition" in Chinese forums. They consider spamming a game, and there are even several customary "missions" developed, such as what we call "Fanye", which essentially means, continuously post senseless replies until a page of the thread is filled.) On another forum I moderate (well, you know what it is, Zack), approximately 30% of all spammers I banned came from China. Attracting more Chinese users may result in dramatic increase of spam posts, spam users, and ToS violators.

Still, it's you who is supposed to make the final decision.
I do see what you mean, a good portion of posts from our Chinese users (yourself excluded) are of, er, lesser quality.
I would wait until you get over 500 members to consider this.. too many sections can lead people way..
I have to agree based on what Richard's said that this may not be a good idea. It could very well bring about mass chaos in a short amount of time.
As if we don't get enough spam already. Phooey.
