Every one has a different opinion on which email provider is simply, the best (for them)..
But what about the features and specs of it?

Discussion:

I really like GMAIL, but in the past few months it has been having a lot of privacy issues... and that doesn't make me feel *comfortable* using it...

And then i tried Yahoo Mail.. worked pretty well for the first few weeks but then for some weird reason my messages would not send!:-/
i would ask people if they got my email and they would always say no >_>

(any ways that didn't work for me)

... and I have tried hotmail 2 times, and those 2 times... my 2 accounts got hacked!
--- after that I'm never trusting it again!

mail.com isnt bad, but not good.. it sent all my messages that was supposed to go to my inbox to spam folder and the messages that were supposed to go to spam folder went to inbox folder... thats weird o_o

Is it me or the email providers? :P:P

Please give me your opinion and thoughts on this :)
I think gmail is the best then
my friends are all gmail user
Gmail. Being loving it since I started using it.
  1. It's one of the few (actually the only one that I've seen) email providers that offer IMAP access for free.
  2. Has an excellent excellent filter system that organizes my mails automatically.
  3. Superb spam filter. Nearly identifies every spam mail.
  4. Clean web interface (which I rarely use, though), unlike other web mail interfaces full of advertisements and useless informations.
  5. Never fail to receive mails. (While Hotmail seems throwing my mails away all the time.)
  6. Never wipe my mails if I have not logged for a while. (My Yahoo mail account was wiped once due to inactivity.)
  7. With decent space offered freely.
  8. Develops and enhances rapidly, with some creative features carrying out every month.
  9. Excellent email notification through XMPP.
I second Richard, Gmail is much better than most of the competitors out there. Tho' I haven't tried hotmail throwing my mails away.
I use Yahoo Mail, it has unlimited space and a completely functional web interface along with filters, openID, multiple accounts and more.

Yeah but obviously its not like you are going to it all..
The best one is GMX

It has IMAP support, it's got a nice interface, great antispam, antivirus, it has quite a few domains, and allows you to create 10 e-mails from 1 account
