I am sick of china mobiles like several others. You need a graveyard to dump them in after 1-2 years. No reuse, repair and resale of these unreliable brands.
I'm fascinated with cheap old cells. What bands do they run on and can they use J2ME?
No they are without J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition) but unique in shapes and many advanced functions. I have about 4 sets with some little problems like hanging, voice, cam result etc.
Some chinese cellphones have features for a low price, but really, why won't these chinese companies make android phones? it's open source.
and a bit of a resource hog
iOS is a little more of a resource hog, no?

Nice idea Chinese must have to follow it.
They would have to spend money to support the android phones. (Servers, towers,..etc.)
and ios is just not worth the lawsuits
I have a China phone but it works perfect for me. In my country they now have spare parts for these kind of phones. What I just don't like with it is the fact that I can't get GPRS settings for it. The network CSR told me that they don't have such settings for China phones.
