i want to install wordpress in a subdomain called blog.mydomain.n1fty.com but i can get it to open with its index file
By default it's in public_html/blog.
i know but when i upload the files there and set it up it just goes to the file directory not the actual blog
There are no files in that folder...
upload your wordpress files into the folder of sub domain.
Zavoo, did Instant Install work?
that means your files were putted in the wrong directory..
I suggest to download the latest installation program(3.0, I use traditional chinese) and install it manually
zavoo just download the latest wordpress version i.e. 3.0 from wordpress.org and upload the zip archive to your subdomain directory [should be /public_html/blog if the subdomain is blog] and extract it there via cpanel file manager and create databases and install it there. should work, if it doesnt contact me , and you can ask me for any other wordpress issues. :D
