However I'm not creating a thread, nor adding a subject line to the post, so I don't know what the problem is.

In fact I tried to make my post shorter but message remains the same.

The subject of a reply is by default "RE: [Subject of the thread]", so the subject of your reply is "RE: If the government found intelligent alien life should it keep the findings a secret?", which the forum system considers too long. You could try to truncate the "Post Subject" in new reply page (not truncating your messages! Click the big "new reply"/"preview post" button to reach new reply page.), or just wait for Zach/HK to fix this.

I changed this thread's subject, so the problem should be solved now.
