If the iPad was a frenzy episode in many people's life, the release of tablets built by other companies has contributed to make this gadget truly popular and to the extent that it is actually rivaling with laptops, netbooks and smartphones.

Due to its small size, portability and features, a tablet can substitute conveniently a netbook or smartphone when being on the go.

However I would like to hear from you what is your preferred gadget and why, specially if you think that tablets are just trendy but not a technology to stay.

Personally I like tablets (but not the iPad), however I have not find the right model that comprises all what I would like to carry with me, which is a little of all of them.

And you?
I'm not totally sold on Tablets - the Android tablets currently out there, particularly some of the older models, do not support all the apps that a typical smartphone. My banking app for example will not work on my Android tablet, neither will the app from my Cable provider. Because of this, I get more functionality out of my Android smartphone than my Android tablet. Netbooks are more or less on their way out with the push for Ultrabooks. If I had to choose between all 3 I would keep an Ultrabook since it would give me the most features and functionality, as well as a keyboard.
Tablets are cool, but they're still really just toys. I have yet to find one which has any good sort of productivity functionality. Instead, I make do with a smartphone and a desktop.
