Does anyone here like Dire Straits? I do, I love Dire Straits. Favourite band. My favourite song from them would have to be Private Investigations, oh how much I love that song!

I used to like Dire Straits's music from the early 1980s, time when they recorded "Romeo and Juliet," "Tunnel of Love" and "It Never Rains"
However I lost track of the band when in the early 1990s the local radio station stopped to air rock to change its programming to talk shows.
Actually it's nice to hear about them or listen to their songs, but I can't be considered myself a big fan.

Wow really nice band. I enjoyed all their albums, though there only few. But all of them are classics, at least for me. The last two - Brothers in arms and On every street as well. Knopfler's guitar technique is really amazing.
