how much for a domainDodgy
Well, I know Namecheap has them for as low as $2.99. We also offer them for free at NiftyHost.us, visit domains for more information.
.info is $1.99 at Godaddy.
It depends on which domain extension you want. On Namecheap, a .com domain is $9.98/year, and a .info is $2.99 for the first year, but $9.69/year after that.
Namecheap has .com's for $12, I think. Plus, there's always coupons and stuff.

Damn, you missed Media Temple's $5 .com domain sale. Otherwise it would've been a really awesome deal. Namecheap's having some sort of deal right now- ILOVEMUM or ILOVEMOM as a coupon or something. Might be different.
nifgyhost is a good domain
some coupons on Godaddy.com just costs 1.29$ for an domain
i agree with 903, godaddy is cheap :D
I am wondering how much do these companies pay the Icann for each domain?
Only about 2 cents go to ICANN, most of the actual purchase price either goes to a reseller or to the operator of the respective TLD (ex. VeriSign). The rest of it goes to the registrar you purchased it from.
